Intentional Wardrobe Clearout Worksheet
Ground your style goals before you clear out your closet
Use this worksheet to ground your style goals before you clear out your closet, and then use the sorting rules to decide what stays and what goes.
Phase 1
Style & Self-Reflection
Answer these questions honestly before opening your closet doors. Your answers will serve as the filter for every item you evaluate.
Lifestyle & Routine
On a typical week, what does my life actually ask of my clothes?
Work, workouts, school runs, dinners out, travel, think through a real week, not an idealized one.
Identity & Perception
How do I see myself right now?
Describe your current lifestyle, personality, and personal identity.
How do I think other people perceive me based on my current clothes?
Consider how your style reads to coworkers, friends, or strangers.
What do I want to tell the world when I am dressed?
What story, vibe, or message do you want your outfits to convey? E.g., professional, creative, effortless, bold.
Body & Comfort Preferences
What is my absolute best feature?
The part of your body you love to highlight or feel most confident showing off.
What is my least favorite feature?
The area where you prefer more coverage, looser fits, or extra comfort.
Am I driven more by absolute comfort or being fashion-forward?
Do you prioritize ease of movement and soft textures, or are you willing to sacrifice some comfort for a structured, trendy look?
Fabric & Texture Check
What is my favorite material to wear?
E.g., 100% cotton, silk, linen, cozy wool, stretchy knits.
What is my least favorite material?
E.g., itchy polyesters, stiff denim, scratchy synthetic blends, fabrics that require high maintenance.
Phase 2

2. Sell
High-quality or branded items in excellent condition that no longer fit your lifestyle or preferences.
3. Donate

4. Trash / Recycle
