The Four Sort Piles

Set up four designated boxes, bags, or areas on your floor and label them clearly. Work through your closet one piece at a time, and place every item into one of these piles.

1. 1. Keep

   Items that match your self-reflection answers, fit perfectly, and are worn frequently.

2. 2. Sell

   High-quality or branded items in excellent condition that no longer fit your lifestyle or preferences.

3. 3. Donate

   Good quality items that don’t match your goals but can find a great second home.

4. 4. Trash / Recycle

   Items with permanent stains, tears, heavy piling, or significant wear.
